Immigration news for international students in Canada

Braemar is pleased to share great news for the international students in Canada!

Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada announced that temporary resident visitors who are currently in Canada are eligible to apply for their PR. Many Braemar students who recently graduated from Colleges and Universities in Canada are eligible to apply!

According to new public policy, the foreign nationals who meet the following criteria may apply for permanent residence:

• have completed the study program at the “Designated Learning Institutions (this are Colleges and Universities)” after January 2017
• have been granted a degree, diploma, certificate, or attestation issued on completion of their program
• have been studying legally 
• have been working with the valid work permit at the time their PR application received
• have valid IELTS or CELPIP results
• reside in Canada with a valid temporary resident status
